First Aid

In the critical moments following an accident or sudden illness, the difference between life and death often rests in the hands of the first person on the scene. This comprehensive First Aid course is your opportunity to gain the knowledge and confidence required to become that crucial link in the chain of survival. This vital program is brought to you through a dedicated partnership between the Malta Development Association (MDA) and the European Vocational Academy (EVA).
This collaboration ensures that you receive training that is not only internationally recognized but also highly practical and relevant to real-world scenarios. Leveraging EVA’s expertise in delivering high-quality vocational education and the MDA’s commitment to promoting safe and skilled development, this course provides a deep dive into emergency preparedness.
You will master the foundational skills, including the proper approach to assessing a casualty, performing effective Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), managing severe bleeding, addressing bone and joint injuries, and treating cases of burns or shock. The curriculum is focused on providing you with hands-on experience and the systematic procedure necessary to maintain calm and provide immediate, life-saving intervention. Upon completion, you will be equipped with the decisive confidence to act as a competent first responder, safeguarding lives wherever you are.

What I will learn?

It fulfills the statutory requirements for basic first aid provision in many workplace settings.

• To develop practical, life-saving skills to manage common emergencies and injuries effectively and safely.
• To instill the confidence and ability to conduct a systematic primary assessment and provide prompt, appropriate care.
